As Metlou could not marry Meniu, he married a girl of the Ang-ban morung. But she died before the tattoo ceremony had been performed and never moved to his house. In the same month Weiku died, and now Metlou could marry Meniu. On the night that she gave birth to Metlou's child in her parents' house, she moved, as was customary, to her husband's house.
