It is not possible to assess to what an extent the Konyaks of the villages previously comprised within the Naga Hills district were affected by this development. Being remote from the centers of administration and the activity of politicians, they have never been in the news, and it is likely that their involvement in the struggle between Indian troops and the Naga underground has been only marginal. |
