text: It was this strong morung-feeling which led Chinyang to (58) complain to me one morning about the declining birthrate in the Oukheang. So few boys had been born lately, that he foresaw a considerable shrinkage of its population. Chinyang, and many other Nagas, held the prohibition of head-hunting responsible for this and other evils.
