(227) My short stay among the Wanchus had wetted my appetite to visit once again the Konyak villages where many years ago I had spent such a happy time. I longed to see how my old friends and the new generation of Nagas were adjusting themselves to the changes brought about by the extensive development programme which the Government of India initiated throughout Nagaland. But the obstacles in the way of being permitted to enter Nagaland were formidable.
