text: After some time it was suggested that we should also offer some rum to the ladies of the house, and fortunately we were able soon followed by the remaining female members of the household. Though normally they never joined the Ang in his personal hall they drank the rum and were even willing to sing for us. The singing, they insisted however, was to be done in one of the women's rooms.
