Make the Photographers Index available via a web-searchable database
In 2004, with the aid of a small grant from the East of England Museums Libraries Archives Council (EEMLAC), the project extended its aims to include making the typescript Index to Photographers available via a web-searchable database. The original Index was compiled as a companion to the typescript catalogues, giving biographical and technical information about many of the individuals and companies whose photographs are featured in the collection.

The Photographers Index has now been completed and launched online, and, where available, it includes links from individual entries to digitised images in the Project's web gallery. Although the initial phase has been completed, given more resources the intention is to continue to develop and expand its coverage to, at the very least, include all those who have taken photographs that appear within the collection.
