upkeep at the rectory of Edwardston and to Jn Nyghtynghale and Steph Smyth for four cart loads of timber carted from Colne as far as the said rectory viz for each cart load 20d altogether 6s8d and a payment for the expenses of men and horses going with the said cart 16d and a payment for the expenses of Steph Smyth riding and working with the said cart 6d and a payment to Jn Tilleke carpenter for eighty square feet of groundsill below the hallroom there and stable taking gross by an agreement made with them gross 14s and a payment for cutting the said timber thereof at the said work etc 12d and a payment to the same said Jn Tilleke and Rich his son for making repairs there around the fish pond there for three days taking per day 6d with food and drink altogether 3s and a payment to a certain man for daubing and the pinning around the hallroom and the aforesaid stable there taking gross by agreement etc 9s and in the expenses of Steph Smyth riding from Colne to Edwardston as far as Edwardston to supervise the said works for three days per day 6d altogether 18d and a payment to the commissioner of the bishop of Norwich for the church there let to farm this year 10s and to the bailiff Rich Waldegrave esq as amercement for default of repairing the bridge there at divers courts there this year 10s and Jn Smyth for iron work for the little gate there viz for repairing the hinges and buying a fastening for the same house 12d and Walt Lys farming there for carrying four quarts of burnt lime from Bremdesweth as far as the said rectory taking for the same 12d and a payment for the same lime bought from a certain man there 5s7d1h and a payment to the said commissioner for a certain subsidy# for the aforesaid deliberations of the council of the bishop of Norwich this year 18d and a payment for four hundred splinters carried from Boxford as far as the said rectory 12d and a payment to Jn Brook for the said splinters bought from himself 2s4d and for seven cart loads of stones called salyon both for collecting the same and for carting the same taking for each cart load 3d altogether 21d and a payment for seven cartloads of sand both for digging and carting the same viz for each cart load as above altogether 19d
