whereas at a view with court here held tuesday being 22.6.1568 Hen Abbott was admitted to one tenement and two crofts of land containing by estimation 2a and a garden adjoining situated in Church St in the aforesaid Colne to have to himself and his heirs forever from the lord by the rod etc as by a roll of that same court here produced and it is clearly shown and appears now at this court it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid Hen Abbott died before this court thus seised thereof and that Hen Abbott his nephew is the next heir of the aforesaid Hen and should have the right to the aforesaid premises upon which to this court came the aforesaid Hen Abbott in person and humbly sought from the lord admittance to the aforesaid premises whereof the lord of the manor by his aforesaid steward granted to him seisin thereof to have to hold and to enjoy the aforesaid tenement two crofts of land and the aforesaid garden to the aforesaid Hen Abbott his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
