whereas at a view with court here held 24.9.1611 Frances Greene and Marcia Greene now wife of Wm Bricke daughters and heirs of Wm Greene were admitted tenants for themselves and the heirs of their bodies legitimately procreated in coparcenary to one garden upon which a barn was once built and then laid waste late of Barth Church lying and being in Colne St between a tenement late of Rich Greene and a tenement late of Jn Leffingwell as by a roll of the aforesaid court it clearly appears who the same said Frances after the last court and before this court died thus seised thereof without heirs of her body legitimately procreated now to this court came the aforesaid Wm Bricke and Marcia his wife and Marcia herself solely and secretly examined by the steward as is the custom they surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his aforesaid steward the aforesaid garden with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Hen Ennewe senior of Coggeshall clothier his heirs and assigns forever who present in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid garden with appurtenances to the aforesaid Hen Ennewe his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine etc
