and furthermore to this court came Jas Pennock senior and in full and open court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the aforesaid steward one piece or parcel of land called Chippin containing by estimation 4a and adjoining certain lands called Great Chippin and now in the tenure of the said Jas Pennock to the use and behoof of the said Jas Pennock and Margery his wife for their lifetimes and to the longer liver and after their decease to the use and behoof of Jas Pennock junior son of the said Jas and the heirs and assigns of the said Jas Pennock junior forever upon the condition that if the aforesaid Jas Pennock senior at any time during his life or if the heirs of the said Jas senior within one year after the decease of the said Jas Pennock should pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Jas Pennock junior 50li of legal money of England or should make sufficient security to the said Jas junior for payment of the said sum to the said Jas junior within a year after the decease of the said Jas senior that then the aforesaid surrender should be void etc
