whereas at a court here held 3.1.1667 Sam Potter was admitted for himself and his heirs to one grove called Little Readings in White Colne lately converted into arable land with the underbrush and the bushes being there together with a messuage and divers buildings and structures built upon the premises and whereas at the last court here held it was shown by the then homage that the aforesaid Sam Potter after the then last court died thus seised thereof and that Dan Potter was his blood relative and heir by full blood now to this court came the aforesaid Dan Potter and humbly sought from the lord admittance to the aforesaid premises for himself as tenant to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid messuage grove and other lands and all and singular the aforesaid premises with appurtenances to the aforesaid Dan Potter his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine etc
