at this court presented that on 5.5.last Geo Angier out of court surrendered by the hands of the steward all that malthouse formerly a tenement and one parcel of land called Kings Garden and one other piece parcel of Kings Garden and one other piece called Agnes Bridges and also one piece of ground formerly called The Waterhouse and yards sometime a tan office and also all that messuage called Perrys Tenement and garden on Colnford Hill in the tenure of Solomon Carter junior and also two crofts part of Millfield containing 3a and also Spilwater Croft containing 4a with their appurtenances and all other copyhold lands etc to the only use of Jn Harvey of Earls Colne gardener provided always that if the said Geo Angier his heirs etc pay or cause to be paid unto the said Jn Harvey his executors etc the sum of 100li on 6.11.next according to a proviso or condition contained in a surrender of his copyhold lands and tenements holden of the manor of Earls Colne and bearing even date herewith that surrender and this being intended as a security for one and the same sum of money only then this surrender to be void otherwise to remain absolute
