also at this court presented that Jn Ray died since the last court seised of a messuage or tenement being parcel of the dwelling house wherein the said Jn Ray lately dwelt situate in Castle Hedingham and also of 1r of land lying between a croft called Brasiers and the garden formerly of the earls of Oxford in Castle Hedingham aforesaid and that Joseph Ray of Castle Hedingham clothier is his eldest son and next heir whereupon came the said Joseph and was admitted etc to hold by the ancient annual rent of 8d etc and gave fine etc
