whereas at a court held on saturday 10.12.1748 found that Jn Hatch a customary tenant of the manor died since the last court seised of a messuage with a shop and appurtenances called Boxsteads held by the annual rent of 1s7d and also of a croft of land called Crossfield containing 3r lying near the pound held of the manor by the annual rent of 1s and that Grace Hatch spinster was his only daughter and next heir now to this court cometh the said Grace and was admitted etc and gave fine etc
