at this court the lord by his steward and by the abovementioned considered agreement of the abovementioned Jn Chyrche granted out of his hands to Barth Chyrche of Earls Colne one garden sometime built on and now waste containing by estimation     of land called Pettwelles Garden sometime of a certain Jeff Wallcoote and sometime parcel of Bredcrofte situated and lying in the parish of Great Tey in the county of Essex viz between lands sometime of Robt Synothe on one part and lands late of Nich Collope of a feoff of Colne called Bradcrofte on the other part one head thereof abutting upon the way leading from the church of the said Tey towards Ladyeswood towards the     and the other head thereof abutting upon Bredcrofte towards the     as by the metes and bounds etc which same said garden with appurtenances late was in the hands of the lord through the default of tenants that he should pay the ancient established rent thereof viz 6d per annum to hold to the same said Barth his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the annual rent to the lord and the heirs of the lord of this manor 6d at the two usual annual terms of the manor to be paid in equal portions viz at the feast of the annunciation and at the feast of michaelmas according to the custom of the manor etc to whom the same said Barth by the steward the lord delivered thereof seisin to hold to himself and his heirs from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor etc and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin
