to this court came Jn Leffingwell junior and surrendered into the hands of the lord two crofts of land containing 8a of land Clotysland with appurtenances as etc with the intention that the lord being thus seised should regrant the said two crofts of land with appurtenances to the aforesaid Jn Leffingwell and Alice his wife and the heirs of Jn himself and the lord by virtue of the said surrender being thus seised at this present court by his steward regranted out of his hands to the said Jn Leffingwell and Alice his wife the said two crofts of land with appurtenances to hold to himself and Alice his wife and the heirs of Jn himself from the lord by the rod etc to whom by the steward the lord delivered thereof seisin to hold to the same said Jn and Alice and the heirs of Jn himself from the lord by the rod etc according to the custom of the manor etc and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin and made fealty to the lord
