steward of this manor and by the homage that
Antho Sparrowe
out of court and after the last court at Maldon in the county of Essex on
the saturday in the feast of the apostles peter and paul last past 29.6.1555
surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward one garden called
Sagysgarden
as by the metes and bounds etc to the use and behoof of
Jn Culverton
his heirs and assigns who present in court came and sought admittance thereof and because it was thus shown and certified therefore he was admitted thereof tenant of the lord to whom by the steward the lord delivered thereof seisin to hold for himself his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor etc and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown
