September. 15. This week the Lord gracious to me and mine in our health, (only my wife somewhat ill,) and children much comfort, and plenty in our condition, inward peace, preservation from grievous outward sins, assistance to walk in his fear, help for Sabbath, Lord whatsoever is evil in me and mine pardon in this week and all others, and keep me in thy fear continually. Goodman Clarke praised be god is now up and walking about again. my brother returned to the army again this was sad week for the affairs of the kingdom, the Lord can give a turn when it pleases him: and on him we will wait for the same.
