Sept: 24: The kitchen boy at priory had a fall upon his brow and broke it, yet was his eye preserved; Mrs Church throwing out a basin of water, threw herself out of her door she had a sad fall, yet god preserved her from any great hurt oh how do gods angels keep us in many dangers(.) we began this day to put the County into a posture of defence; it will cost me an arms; Lord bless us and make us look up unto thee to be strength to all our means and endeavours.
