December 22: All this week god was good to me and mine, in our health peace, plenty, in inward comforts in the society of divers loving Friends; in the Sabbath, in enabling me and helping me in the day. I made a serious exhortation to lay aside the jollity and vanity of the time that custom has wedded us to, and to keep the Sabbath, better which is the only Lords day we are commanded to observe Lord pardon the many sins of this week, and accept me in your Christ my blessed redeemer,
