[Dry] Feb: 1644. This month was dry all the time ways like summer on the 10 and 11 day: upon the 12 it rained afterwards dry and a little frost, but generally very warm, ushering in the spring our streets all over dry, ways plain, grounds so hard they could scarce by ploughed no old man could ever remember the like: so it continued until March. 3 then it rained. violets were commonly blown, rose bushes fully leaved; apricots and my melocoton fully blossomed out:
