10: Having the opportunity of a convoy I resolved to find him out, we came safe to Huntington, there I refreshed myself with Mrs Taylor ; hearing that divers of their Cabs rolled upon the road we made ready for our defence and marched on, before we came at Stangate hole, Captain Warner and divers in his company overtook us, at Stilton I met the welcome news that Major Haynes at 9 of clock was at Stamford; much ado I persuaded them to march that night to Wainsford bridge. 7 miles in the night. our supper was a hard egg, and tough cheese, and pretty course lodging. blessed be god we had any thing.
