19. God good to me in preserving my house from fire, the children having made a fire in the room under my study, which might have been a more than ordinary damage in respect of my books, My wife spied it, and quenched it, so that it took hold of nothing in the room to god be the praise.

My eyes were ill, and sore at one corner, and so continued for some time, it was a rheum in them, the Lord continue my sight perfect, and give me grace to use it to his glory that christ Jesus might have some soul brought home by my ministry.
