16: went to Halsted: I was much troubled with a pain on my breast over my heart I conceived it was wind: spoke with Mr Fookes in Goodee Davies business I find the mans debts so great that there is little hope for her; went in with Mr Tompson to take view of Mr Litles sisters: went up to the widow Brewer to speak with her father , who will promise nothing toward the childrens portion though his eldest sons we left it to his own conscience, conceiving he cannot dispose the estate from them without some consideration:
