December: 27. This week the weather was very seasonable, dry and cold indifferent, corn did work very well on the ground, men continued still to sow wheat, my cold continued very much upon me, and some aguish humour in my bones, but blessed be the lord it was wearing away. the lord was good to me and my family in our health and peace, in tenderness of spirit, good in the duties and exercises of the day, the word and sacrament of baptism, the Lord in mercy accept of me, and in mercy delight in me.
