31: This day I went down to the Priory to Mr Harlakenden and fully discharged my mortgage, and made even with him, I gave him a bill of my hand for ten pounds, and then when his fine is paid, I am in a good forwardness out of debt to god alone be praise. Mrs Church gave me 5s. for a new years gift when I was quite destitute, love in season, I was very ill this day and night with a looseness, and aguish distemper in my bones.
