April: 25: This week the lord was good to me and mine in our peace, health, plenty, and outward mercies, merciful in preserving from many evils and temptations whereunto I am subject, the lord thoroughly set my spirit right for himself, god was good to me, in the exposition of his word, and in preaching thereof, the Lord in mercy make it profitable to the hearers, and continue to delight in me, and use me as an instrument to speak his praise: the weather was very wet, the season very sad and had continued so very long, I earnestly entreated god for fair weather, I could believe it should be granted and so waited an answer:
