Nov. 14: The lord was good to me and mine in our peace and plenty, and in the mercies of the Sabbath to his name be the praise, The King Nov:11: about or before supper time escaped from Hampton Court and went down to the Ile of Wight to Col: Hammond , who is one of the Col: of the army (and is to marry Cromwell's daughter) and its conceived this business was not done without the privitie of many great ones in the army; this is certain letters dated that evening conjecturing whether the King was gone mention it as most probably to the Ile of Wight. great endeavours to divide the army, but not effected hitherto.
