Febr: 6: This week the Lord was merciful to me, and mine in our peace, plenty, and health my dear wife weary and sometimes faint, yet through mercy they pass over, and she still holds up her head, the lord in mercy be good to her; this time was a sad dear time for poor people only their work beyond expectation continued plentiful and cheap; money almost out of the country; what I spent now I borrowed and yet I wanted nothing nor mine; But Lord when will you make me watchful over the vanities and follies of my heart, I pray you keep me that no corruption lead me aside, the lord was merciful in giving me strength to preach and expound his word constantly morning and evening, he in mercy accept me, and bless his word to his glory and mine and my peoples good.
