23. This week the lord good in continuance of our peace, health and plenty, in these days of want and sadness blessed be his name, we wanting no outward needful accommodations: our times grow sad, and threaten storms every day more than other places grow very much disaffected unto the parliament, our County now set on a very dangerous petition, but I hope in my town it is prevented, and not likely to proceed. the lord was merciful to me in the Sabbath, and in the duties and exercises thereof, the lord in mercy parson my sin accept my soul and do me good and met no iniquity have dominion over me,
