July: 2: I preached at home, and so I did every lords day that month, and on the fast day, we were not troubled with one alarm, but the carts went continually to the lea guard, and so did persons. that there was no distinction made of Sabbath, so that war truly is ready to make people more vile(,) a rare thing to see men made better.
