25. day. very hot but close until towards 11 of the clock when the sun did shine and it was a right summers day indeed: 26: it thundered and rained in the morning, but not very much, we had hopes it would be an harvest day and so through mercy it proved, it being close, and rainy a little now and then but men followed their work. great hopes that Colchester would have surrendered presently, but so great a work, must ask a longer time to effect the same 27. 28. 29: were very seasonable days, men followed their harvesting without any interruption.
