5. Mr Little with me, who gave me something towards my losses the Lord requite his love abundantly.

this afternoon very fair, and so Septemb.6 a fine day, blessed be god for it, my thoughts very much troubled within me concerning my leaving of Colne being necessitated thereunto, by their withholding my maintenance. the lord go before me and direct me what to do.

the prisoners taken at Colchester are dispersing apace, divers get away. Sr Wm Compton their Sergeant Major Gen 2 Col. by means of our wagon Mr general made an escape;
