7. A public day of thanks for the great and notable mercy in the route and dissipating of the Scotch army by the forces under Cromwell and Lambert . this day was fair, somewhat close, but men had in corn diligently and in very good case, thanks be given unto god for his mercy.

I had not in all this time of trouble any pose or cold much to trouble me, but now I have one not so bad as formerly, but it makes my chest somewhat sore, the lord sanctify all providences unto me for his goodness sake.
