Oct: In the latter end of October I begun to read: Bell: de 15: stairs our ladder steps to god, a pretty discourse, it contains 418: pages in 16o. I also read in mornings, Feri Specimen, a learned discourse, in contains: p.559: I observed the most material things in him, Lord I have lost much of my time, oh enable me to redeem it; and give me oh god not only industriousness, but to study out of love to thee, and charity to the souls of my people, and give me strength of body, and of my eyes especially, and bless my endeavours
