[Navel sore:] 19. 20: David said it was good for me that I was afflicted; and I trust in god, I shall say so, my navels soreness god made use of to mind me of my folly, god was good to me, Satan he came on with old temptations and I was ready to be overcome, but I trust in the Almighty God, he will preserve me, and sanctify me, and then I shall say, it was good that the lord dealt thus with me;

before this fell sore, I went abroad up and down, and might take cold, whatever it be Lord I accept of thy punishment, and submit unto thee, and give glory to the lord in and under the same, and I desire thy grace whereby I may be enabled to improve it to make me more holy, and heavenly minded.

also I observe that I sweat very much two or three nights before it was sorish
