May: 27. This day and indeed week god was good and merciful to me, and mine in our peace health, plenty, in all needful outward mercies, wanting nothing needful in all these days of scarcity, The lord was good to my dear wife in her uprising, my little boy was somewhat unquiet, but I hope it will wear away, god was good to me in keeping me from the vanities and sinfulnesses of my heart, the lord in mercy keep me from every evil work and preserve me spotless to the glory of his own most holy name, the lord was gracious and merciful (me) to me in fitting me for the duty of the Sabbath, and in the preaching and expounding of his words, the good lord in mercy accept me and spare me for his own precious name sake,
