25. a most goodly day, there was never known a more mild, dry, and warm winter so forward and fruitful a spring, god suited it to our necessities, for how should cattle else have subsisted, notwithstanding this, hay was very scarce and dear, at 3s. and 3s.4d. per hundredweight.
