December. 1: The week past the Lord was good to me and mine in our health, peace, plenty. when sickness, death, and scarcity is in the houses of so many, it is matter of rejoicing to me, that god give me an upright bent of heart to perfect holiness in his fear, notwithstanding my weakness and corruption, the lord set my heart much after the kingdom of christ that shall be in the world, not for any advantage to myself, but nakedly that I might be instrumental to honour him in the same, the lord is good to me in making my studies and employments easy to me, as also in contenting my heart under various providences, he was good me in the Sabbath, he accepts me and mine and people and blesses me for his names sake,
