Feb: 1: This week past the lord was very good to me and all mine in all our outward mercies, the season for divers days very calm, clear and warm, we appointed a day of prayer for the christians of Halsted to meet with us at Mr Litles Feb.18 I was with him he willing, I apprehend a storm over our head ready to come in upon us, but when we do not dream, some people whom we scorn god may arm to scourge our wickedness, for surely all flesh have corrupted their ways(.) the lord help me against many corruptions of my heart, now and then I feel them stirring, but the lord alone keeps them down, my mind runs wonderfully on the troubles of the last time; which breaking work, I am much satisfied in, but what the restitution shall be, I cannot yet attain(.) the lord was good to me in the work and services of the day, he in mercy own me, and do me much good continually.
