30. This day was very hot, like midsummer, went and returned safe from Stanway, the lord was good to me in the business. I had an extraordinary cold and hoarseness which I took I could not tell how, this day and 31: I sowed. 7 pecks more of white oats, and 2 bushels 1/2 of black and about 5 bushels and peck of barley in Dagnal , the seed is committed to the ground I wait on the lord for his blessing. I desire to be faithful in thy house, oh be thou merciful to mine as thou always have, and make me not a reproach oh lord.
