May. 7. This day warm after very much cold windy days, the year promises much plenty, which is in gods hand to dispose of as he pleases, the mercies of god towards me in my family, still continued to me, most unworthy of them, my heart pants after god as my all, in my continued enjoyment of him, and yet, oh how little of him does my heart attain unto, I had some heart warmth, and breathings after him this day, kindled in me by himself, but oh how long, before the lord please to give me his strength and his powerful presence.
