13. this day the Parl: appointed a fast at Westminst. and London. I was sensible of their condition and begged god would show them the things to our peace, if the decree of ruin were not gone forth; if they had not stumbled in preferring their own things to the lords. which I feared, at night Mr R.H. told this that, tuesday morning. 12. they were shut out of the house, and a guard of soldiers set on the house; this amazed many men; I see gods work going on.
