August. 1: we met to seek god, lord let me find thee in all thy ordinances and in my heart to make it pure and keep it so, we had some refreshing together, and I hope our hearts were engaged to god, and made somewhat more seeing into the evil, that is abroad to try the sons of men, but is to be followed with stupendous trials indeed.
