Sept: 9 God good to me and mine in many outward mercies, my wife somewhat ill, with inward fears and toothache, and myself with inward stoppings, the lord remember me in mercy to do me good, the times very sad, with wars and troubles abroad, yet men wholly glued to the world, and the outward advantages thereof, this day fair but somewhat close(.) the lord good to me in the word and work of the day to him alone be the praise
