Aug. 2. God good to me in many mercies, I conceive the face of the earth was never more burnt with drought in any time than now, and yet which is wonderful Mr R.H. hops, heles went on, and upper Chiffin being backward, is likely to prove a great crop, by rains, which we are likely to have, I was very careless in preparing for the Sabbath, the lord pardon it to me, my heart, is not lift up within me in the ways of god, the lord in mercy raise up my heart to spiritualness, and activities in my walking with him. it now dews very sweetly, god in mercy refresh the earth, and renew the face of it.
