Sept. 20. God good to me, and mine in our peace, health, and in many outward mercies, comfortable under my cold, the season dry, but cold, pastures flourish, the lord provide for us of his grace and bounty, it was no small mercy in my eyes that when agues and fevers as formerly the smallpox stepped in at many doors god preserved me and mine, oh lord help me to keep your law, and let me live to it, god is putting on my thoughts to making sure my interest in god, and to prepare against the worse, lord let them not be thoughts and nothing else, but such as may ripen to actions.
