In Searching my heart before the sacrament I find I am too neglectful of private and very dead in family prayer. as also in reading the word in my family, and personal and particular instructing of my little ones, leaving it to my catechising them and to my wife , and some constant questions; I find I do not digest my sermons into. my head as formerly, I desire to see and bemoan these among other evils, and resolve by grace more diligently to watch over my heart and ways herein lord Jesus remember me with grace and mercy
