5. A savoury meeting about death; that is the robbing the creature of its excellency, and rendering it base, the wages of sin. lord let words spoken dwell with me I pray you. this day my good friends Mr Harlakenden the younger and his wife gave me 25s. as an [entrance into a way of bounty] which was always great to me. Lord it is for my sake, and my works [for mercy] do it. I pray remember them in mercy and return their labour of love to them and theirs, this is a new spring you have opened your name be blessed, their bounty is doubly welcome, because its from hearty friends and I love to be indebted to such.
