9. Received two letters from unknown persons at London relating the sad condition of Robert Abbott once of our town, a great enemy to the ministry, and gods worship, and afterward reclaimed, a person of a family manifesting much ill will unto me, to whom I did show kindness, he seemed reclaimed, but crosses in his marriage and loss in his estate and some hand of god has brought him to a sad state, if not distracted and enthusiast then far worse, I feared ill would be the portion of those persons, lord open their eyes and show them their evil and pardon and heal I pray thee.
